Kornet se nam pridružuje drugo leto zapored na javni najavi nove balkan založbe Borba s prvo kompilacijsko izdajo. Kornet je zagrebški DJ in promotor, aktiven na lokalni sceni že 6 let. Njegovi seti so kombinacija novih hibridov klubskih zvrst, ki so nastali kot kombinacija UK bassa, techna, grimea, hard druma, bailea in GQOM-a. Oblikujejo skupno pripoved z intenzivnim rezanjem in stilom mixanja, ki ga navdihuje jungle. Njegovih zadnjih 12 mesecev so zaznamovali številni nastopi – Boiler Room v Zagrebu, gigi v Ljubljani in Bolonji, v Drugstore-u v Beogradu. Njegovi miksi so objavljeni na radijskih postajah NTS in Rinse FM, pri rezidentih ZULI in object blue.
Od leta 2018 je soustanovitelj in član kolektiva VOLTA, katerega je cilj promocija progresivnih glasbenih zvrsti lokalne klubske scene. V zadnjih 4 letih je VOLTA gostila imena kot so Lee Gamble, Slikback, object blue, Alleged Witches, Hence Therefore, Cuban Chamber of Commerce, in Air Max ‘97. VOLTA je poleg tega organizirala prvi Boiler Room v Zagrebu.
Kornet is joining us for the second year in a row, this time for the special occasion of announcing a joint balkan label Borba and a VA compilation. Kornet is a promoter and a DJ from Zagreb, active at the local scene for 6 years. His sets are a combination of new hybrid club genres which have emerged from techno, UK bass, grime, hard drums, baile and GQOM. They create their own narrative through intense blending, cutting and a jungle-inspired style of mixing. His last 12 months have been marked by numerous gigs at the Zagreb Boiler Room, as well as performances in Ljubljana and Bologne, Belgrade’s Drugstore and mixes at both the NTS and Rinse FM radio stations that reside at ZULI and object blue.
He has been a member and co-founder of the collective VOLTA for 4 years now. Its goal is to promote the progressive music movements from the local club scene. Since its beginning, VOLTA has booked names such as Lee Gable, Slikback, object blue, Alleged Witches, Hence Therefore, Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Air Max ‘97. He is also responsible for the first Boiler Room in Zagreb.
